AROUND BORDEN BEES

Borden Bees is perfectly located in the Kent North downs in the village of  Borden.  There are 3 pubs and a great place for breakfast, brunch or lunch within a 10 minute walk and plenty of places to go for a countryside walk or take the bikes out for a spin

THINGS TO DO

The Three Tuns, Lower Halstow (4.9 miles)

Although a short car drive away, The Three Tuns has been a favourite of ours for years.  They've got a wonderful food menu, great selection of local ales and large garden.

The Maypole Inn (0.5 miles)

The Maypole Inn has been the village pub since 1763.  It offers a friendly atmosphere and a great selection of beers and ales

​

The Sun Inn at Bredgar (1.9 miles)

The Sun Inn is in a lovely neighbouring village.  It's a beuatiful country pub and offers a friendly atmosphere, great pub grub and a very large garden.

The Plough & Harrow Greek Taverna (0.7 miles)

The Plough and Harrow is a comfy pub that houses a Greek Taverna. The staff are friendly and the food is great

Oad Street Food & Crafts (0.7 miles)

Oad Street Cafe is great for breakfasts, brunches and lunches with ingredients sourced from local sourced produce

Leeds Castle (6.6 miles)

Have a fun packed day out with the family with plenty to do at Leeds Castle.

Historic Chatham Dockyard (8.1 miles)

The Dockyard offers a fantastic day out with seasonal activities throughout the year and heaps of history.

Historic Rochester (8.7 miles)

Rochester is packed with history and home to Charles Dickens, this town is also home to Rochester Castle and Cathedral.

Kent Event Centre, Detling (5.0 miles)

Home to the annual county show this event centre hosts events most weekends, such as antique and gardening fairs.

Barton's Point Coastal Park (8.0 miles)

Set in over 4 acres, Barton's point features a salt walter lake, water  sports, walks, cafe and childrens sand pit play area. It's also set just back from the Minster coast line.

Oare Gunpowder Works, Faversham (8.0 miles)

A beautiful walk set in a nature reserve with plenty of history.  After visiting, take a trip into Faversham for a lite bite and cobbled street walk. 

LOCAL WALKS

There are plenty of picturesque walks if you want to go outside of the village. We recommend:

Brickfields, Lower Halstow (2.9 miles)

Take a walk along the river across the old Brickfields before going for a pint and bite to eat in the Three Tuns village pub

​

White Horse Wood, Thurnham (5.1 miles)

Fantastic views across the North Downs with some small, hidden ruins of Thurnham castle
